Redundant physical writes waste storage when the same file is uploaded many times.

Approach

A C++ content-addressable storage engine uses SHA-256 hashing to detect and eliminate duplicate files before they hit disk. A TOCTOU race condition in SQLite transactions was debugged to root cause.

Results

Concurrent uploads scaled to four workers once the race was fixed.
